Slam Check Book II
by Leonard Furlotte
(Thriller)
Zach and Maria are happy together, the terrible nightmare of the Space Rock now behind them. Living in a small quiet fishing village in New Brunswick has given them a chance to learn about each other, and themselves.
Maria is fairing better than Zach. Tortured by awful dreams, he is still struggling to cope with the past dramatic events. However, the longer the burden of the damned rock separates from their lives, the better they are at learning to live with its dreadful secret.
Over the brutal Canadian winter, the couple decides to head south in their sailboat, Dancing Lady, whenever the spring thaw arrives. The main reasons are to experience some tropical weather and SCUBA dive.
Confused, it seems like odd discoveries keep happening in their lives. Discussions regarding them center on an embarrassing feeling of over-paranoia.
Could their suspicions simply be a tragic by-product of a deadly past still haunting them?
Has someone realized the truth behind Maria and Zach’s world-ending deception?
